Soap Star comes to Morton

Many of us will recognise Bill Ward from his roles on Coronation Street and Emmerdale... but Bill is also a multi-award winning photographer and actor, born and raised in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. On Thursday 21 January, Morton members are joining with Durham Photographic Society in a joint Zoom presentation by Bill Ward.

Bill was awarded the Adobe Prize at the 2015 UK Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards (also Commended 2013 and 2020), and Best Seascape at the 2019 Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards. He has had over twenty photographs shortlisted at Outdoor Photographer of the Year, and his work is frequently Commended, Shortlisted and Nominated in competitions all over the world.

Bill uses Pentax cameras, and is proud to be an Ambassador for Pentax Ricoh UK.

His primary photographic subject matter is landscapes, whether natural, urban or industrial. He is specifically drawn to water.
